This is so old. This was done at a time when I didn't do a pencil sketch first. This was drawn straight to paper. (at least, I strongly believe it was) There was one stray line that was a mistake, but I've erased that in Photoshop.

The bovid was done with colored ball point pens and the dragon was colored with highlighter markers. Unfortunately, scanners don't pick up the vivid color that highlighter marker ink gives off. This scan does not do the original justice. For instance, on the dragon there should be purple on the knee and on the body above the knee.

What an evil demon. Any horrible thing you could think of doing to someone or some animal, he has already done a hundred times over. Can his soul be saved? I sure hope so... because he is a part of me.

Just a bit of info on Pred, you see that hair coming down his back? That isn't long hair. That hair is growing out of his neck and back. Think of it kind of like a lion's mane.

This was done with Prismacolor pencils on Bristol board.

This square was part of 9 other squares of clubs/clovers that were each done in different ways. For example, one square had a clover made out of cut pieces of paper, another was a club where strokes of paint formed the shape of the club.

Well, I never completed the ninth square because my art teacher was supposed to help me work the air brush. She misunderstood me and went home instead!?!

I LOVE the video game Space Harrier- any version of the game. I have seen a good handful of versions of drawings of this guy and wanted one of my own. It is constantly mentioned among fans that he wears spandex, and I don't blame them since he IS a super hero and flies around like Super Man. Thank goodness he doesn't have a cape. Hmmm, maybe I should have included his sunglasses. *slaps forehead*

Space Harrier is pretty much a Sega game. It was on one or two other platforms very early in the 80s, but didn't look as good as on the Sega Master System. Space Harrier 3D-aka The Return of Space Harrier- was the most awesome trip! It used the wonderful, and now very rare, Sega 3D glasses.

This was done with ball point pen on lined paper. At least I think it was lined paper. Obviously I edited out the blue lines.

Not as polished up as my other pieces, but I am pleased with this none the less.

No thought went into making this. I just sort of made it up. Stuff like this usually results from being bored in school. Many many of my doodles come off of school work! They usually do not end up show-off worthy because they never look polished up enough. The reason is because I work with pen instead of laying down a pencil sketch first. When doodling in class, I never use a pencil because that means after the pencil drawing comes the inking in; and I don't want to draw everything twice in that fashion. Plus, it's quicker to get more ideas down on paper if it is done straight in pen.

This was done with ball point pen on sketchbook paper.

I quickly became obsessed with U2, I started finding out I had a talent for shading with ball point pen, and this was the result. I referenced a picture of Bono off of The Joshua Tree album while doodling this. Thank goodness I had the casette tape of the album instead of the CD. For some artistic reason it was decided that the picture on the CD should be warped.

This was the second drawing I did that made me realize that I had a talent for shading with ball point pen. The reason I call it a talent is because it came to me so easily. The reason I do many of my realistic pieces in pen is because pencil is too messy and just not permanent.
