Central News open. In the development stage, there was a version where the shade was cut by the dotted lines here, but it was scrapped as the overlaid image (usually footage around the Midlands) couldn't be seen clearly.

After urges from IBA, Central launched a new news service to East/West regions, and retired this intro.
