More fun with Sculpey. Unfortunately, the black paint I used turned out to be OUTDOOR GLOSSY paint (how I could have missed this, I don't know - it says that in big red letters on the bottle) so he's ridiculously shiny. I'll just say he's sweaty.

species Lero Deser - Lero means Three (referring to three eyes), and Deser refers to its headshape. Eye number and headshape are what the Gommr classification system is based on.

The two lumps 'hanging off' of his tail are actualy leg stems. Until a Gommr has three pairs of legs, his tail will continue to split into new legs, and then fall off after the final pair 'touch ground'.

Picture this face in the dark, "gliding" at you like a truck. Had a short dream sequence just like this the night before last, woke up with a gasp and a fast heartbeat.

But not in a happy way. :/


I reckon the two nostrils on the outside are for heavy, on-the-run breathing, and the two in the center are for smelling.

I loooove openCanvas.

Fiddling around with Gzael's design again - looking at my recent drawings, I realized that he was leaning a little too far into another character's "look". Curse that Jim, creeping into my drawing style. >:S

Anyway. Biggest change here? Brown hair roots. And whether I meant to or not, his hairstyle (eyebrows merging into hairline) was probably very much inspired by Ganondorf. Raaa.

Everybody's favorite (NOT) military leader is not quite as tall as people make him out to be. He's really only about 5'7", which makes him as tall as my mom. He'll try to make himself look bigger with cloaks and such, but the naked (ha) truth is that he's a short, scrawny dog. The End.

What's that pinkish, translucent skin on the left side of his face? We don't know. Looks like either a recent burn or a very old scar.

As a last note for the kids, those long cigarrette-type things are addictive. Just like people tobacco. Gzael's druggie friend/co-worker Brell is addicted to both those and the injection drugs scattered around Aepodes.

That's right, casual wear. No itchy, stiff regalia.


Long description time!

At birth, he was known as Gael Arcanzre* - note the lack of the apostrophe-z. He kept this birthname for a good long time, up until his adult child had a painful run-in with a local deity. After that incident, he chose to ally himself with that deity's opposing element: iron, metal, etc.
Thus, he added the mechanical 'buzz' into his first name: G'zael.

At some point in his life, he became infected with some odd disease that left his neck and throat bare, except for a transparent "film" that would at least keep the insects out.
He's got excellent hearing (hence the disproportionately large ears), sight, and smell - but has very little sense of touch. He's so numb to pain that he could walk a mile without realizing that he's got a deep, bloody gash in his leg.
Now, you might think that feeling no pain would come in handy, but pain makes you pay attention to that part of your body which is being destroyed. What if you didn't really mind that potentially mortal wound you've received? You wouldn't care much about it, and it'd probably kill you.

So, G'zael spent his days feeling little pain, everywhere but his raw throat. Usually, it was protected by a collar attached to his clothing, but if you so much as scraped it with your fingernail, he'd shriek (and possibly shred your arm).



He was an eccentric individual, to say the least. He and his Dominion pushed the limits of battlefield technology for their government, and they would have gone farther, had their process not been terminated by the aforementioned deity, who'd had enough of G'zael's blatant violations and disrespect towards her.

My half of an art trade with Wolfenashes! (evil grin)
I like the lighting in here, but I'm sad at coloring lots of detailed fur. Must tell my pencil NO next time he wants to make a lot of strokes.

I have no clue why she's doing that with her hands. I know that I tend to do crazy things with my arms like that, so. Maybe it's leaked into my drawings.
