LKASHDLKAlagARG. Whenever I sit down to work on comics or serious fanart, I end up with these stupid doodles. I've also been playing FF7 recently, which was probably the cause of this image. Originally it was only lineart, but someone over on DeviantArt inadvertantly gave me the idea of shading with a ballpoint pen, which in some places helped and in some places made it look like crap.

This is from a while ago, but I had submitted it as the sample comic for my webcomic registration and thought I'd put it up here for ya. Anderson prepares to fight the greatest evil of the 6-year-old world. Sorry 'bout the smudges and stuff in the background. I came up with 2 more ideas like this while brainstorming comics and I can assure you that those will be drawn with a tablet ^^;; Originally I was going to color this and have his t-shirt be grey with purple on the sleeves and neck parodying his jacket, but since I couldn't get the lines to be pure black, I couldn't CG it in >

Materials: .7 mechanical pencil (and Sakura Micron pens, because my scanner is picky and likes its lines extra-dark ><*)

In preparation for my Hellsing webcomic, I printed out a bunch of manga scans and spent the week practicing drawing Millennium members so the art for my comic wouldn't be horrible (or less so, at least XP). So here's the first of the batch, Schrodinger. The poses were modified from the scans, and the random dialog was sort of based on his role in the comic. That is, to be obnoxious, irritate Rip and Doc, and generally be the main comic releif ^^ My bad inking job is responsible for screwing up the expression in the largest image. I like how the one in the top left turned out though. The arms and hands are messed up and trying to shade with a pen may not have been the best idea, but I love the sly taunting catboy expression. Materials: .7 mechanical pencil and Sakura Micron pens

Yes, yes. Laugh at the Integra fanboy and his poor Photoshop skills. This took me like, 2 days JUST to ink with a mouse. As of right now, I have TONS of stuff waiting to be colored, but I wanted to wait until I can get my tablet (which should be any day now). Finally, I cracked and decided to do this one with a mouse, which I hate doing. For the record, though, a laptop touchpad is much easier than a regular mouse. In hindsight, I should have done anime-version Integra, whose hair doesn't take hours to ink, but manga Integra is so much spiffier. Materials: Photoshop7

My first attempt at Super-deformed. Usually I hate these things, just because they're over-emotional and extremely annoying, but the thought occured to me to find the most evil character I could find, and make him cute. Ironic, eh? I was doing this completely from memory late at night, and I have NO idea how to draw the tie or the back end of a gun. The Jackal turned out extra craptacular because the silver writing died when I colored it. And as usual, my scanner screwed up the color a bit. Materials: odd Xonex colored pencils. I did this for a friend. Characters from Invader Zim as Matrix Reloaded characters. In case you can't read my writing, the casting goes as follows: Zim as Neo, Gaz as Trinity, GIR as Morpheus, Dib as Agent Smith, the Tallest as the Twins, Prof. Membrane as The Architect, Mrs. Bitters as The Oracle,and Minimoose as himself for an added dose of randomness. Materials: Random colored pencils found at a friend's house.
