Well, it's certainly been over a year since I've uploaded anything . . .

But since I'm finally doing some stuff that isn't my webcomic, I figure I'll upload a few things.

I got a tablet recently! Here's one of my horribly horribly amatuerish practice drawings! Mostly I picked this one to upload because I want that shirt.

Mmmm. Shirt.

The idea for this sprung from a randomized anime Roleplaying Game, which suggested some of the horrors of Miroku teaching a Highschool Health class in a vague and tasteful manner. I naturally thought this was funny as all Hell.

However, I felt that focusing merely on the obvious leaves far too many of the horrors of Health Class unplumbed. This popped into my head, and I had to draw it.

I originally envisioned it as a comic strip, but since the rather meaningful pauses would require a number of near-identical panels that I don't believe myself to be artistically capable of creating, I fell back on this.

This is my first ever drawing of Miroku. Not too bad, considering the size of the original and the reference material I had available at school at the time. Still not my best drawing ever.

A transcript, so you don't need to hurt your eyes on my bad handwriting. I'm sure you'll catch on to who's saying what.

"So . . . you want me to practise CPR . . ."

"Well . . . oookaaay . . . although I understand it's not possible to perform CPR properly without BREAKING SOME RIBS . . ."

Whew! Have you ever had one of those spurts where you just HAD to be working on something, despite all the necessary stuff that you SHOULD be doing? That's what this was. That's also why there's only four pages.

It took me ages to get Eve right in the last panel-thingy . . . and after all that, Amae turned out looking not so good . . . *sigh* Well, can't win 'em all.

The Hearts didn't turn out well at all . . .

I actually make a little 'Giiii' noise under my breath when I'm startled. Not that this character is in any way me, of course . . .

For reference: It's Kageko Amae. Both parts of the name were invented, rather obviously on the part of 'Kageko' . . . and that's Japanese order.

In reality, I hadn't decided on whether or not I wanted to stick with Amae for her name . . . I inked in Kageko and then regretted it. So now it's her last name.

Hopefully neither word means anything unexpected.

In terms of artwork, I love this page.

To recap: Yes, I hate my Personal Finance class. Yes, you DO lose points for mixing up the terms 'hazard' and 'risk'. I lost points on a test for using the word 'Process' instead of 'Method'. Apparently we were supposed to memorize definitions word for word.

Basically, this is a half formed idea that took shape in my head, and was too amusing to fade away.

Notes of interest: Catrine isn't a little paranoid, she's VERY paranoid. Xellos is just being polite, or is unaware of the depths of her paranoia. I think I took Xellos a bit out of character, no doubt he'd just innocently set up a few incidents to get someone thoroughly involved in something rather than just ask.

In this way, he was comandeered into my elaborate hate letter to Personal Finance. Also, I didn't have a 'Catrine interacting with Xellos' image, and felt that I needed one. That Brings the 'Cat vs Bishie' total up to four.

If Xellos looks a little too pleased in the last panel, it is because he has not only chosen the perfect time to ask Cat something, but because he has wandered into the world's most effective pit of ultimate suffering.

The horror, oh the horror . . .

A scene from a message board RP of ours, done in a comic style, and it turned out VERY good! The horrible rendition of Barney is overshadowed by the way I pulled off that pose without screwing up horribly. That makes this my second picture of Bubbles, but I'm uploading them backwards so you may not have seen the other one yet . . .

Ahh, it's gorgeous! I left out the patterning on Bubbles's skirt because I'm lazy.

Look! It's an apple! Just a cute little apple, just sittin' there, doin' absolutely nothing. Innit cuuuuuute?

So I was just doing random sketches in art, and looking for a subject, and I noticed that someone had left a small apple on the table.

So I drew it.

The little thing was taken from Mahou Tsukai Tai! It turned up after a long shot of an apple to indicate that no, the apple was NOT going to shrink as the spell had told it to.
