R and B from the same world as the cover of The Seduction of Crystal Rain (well, same world in that R is the author of that shining literary work and B his boyfriend, who drew said cover). Technically _not_ the same universe as 'Between the Lollipop Forest and the Sugar Sea', even if they are the same people.

R (scarf guy) loves B (artist guy), but B would not have sex with scarf!guy because of religious reasons, so R broke up with him, ran off to Oregon, and wrote an angsty book about their relationship. B read the book, rethought his religious beliefs and followed R. Here they meet again for the first time in over a year. Woooo~

My friend and I have this RP thing we do which is... pretty crazy. The basics: R is an author, B has a bachelor's in art. R's editor encourages him to write bodice rippers in between writing Serious Stuff; B thinks this is the best thing ever, and between one thing and another, ends up drawing the covers for R's trashy romance novels. Also, providing extra trash (namely, outrageous names and occasional plot twists). Between the two of them, they make no bones about the fact that the main characters are based on them (or on people they know). This fact is reflected in the covers, as B depicts the main characters as looking somewhat like their real counterparts. (In this, B is the woman, R is the man.)

My final painting for, um, Painting. Based on a photograph of my friend Jean taken by our mutual friend, never_ender. I liked this painting a lot, only my professor said that I couldn't just copy the photograph, so I ended up painting the definition of "nature" from the American Heritage Dictionary over the top with gloss medium (figuring I could always paint over the entire painting with matte medium when I finished the class if I didn't like the effect).

Picture commissioned by Rachel/jedilora of her ex-roomie's role play character, Jelly, and Jelly's kinda-cousin, Gerry (Jelly is the property of Lena/akavertigo, Gerry is the property of Sammy R/re_white) as a birthday gift (very belated gift, as I got the commission around the end quarter, with papers and finals creeping up on me).

Rachel requested that the picture be of, "Jelly, Gerry, and Venetian masks," and I got really excited because I really, really liked the masks I saw when I went to Venice. Since I was also feeling kinda guilty about the kinda-crudy job I did on the piece she commissioned for Lena the year before (oops), I ended up going all-out by adding a background and using a different, more time-consuming coloring technique than what I usually use on commission pieces of this type.

Another picture for the HP role play I'm involved in. This shows my character Gillichu and Pimento, the girl he'll eventually end up liking (just not any time in the near future -- he's 17 and she's 16 in this picture, they're 12 and 11 respectively in the RP currently ^^; ). Pimento's owl, Frog Spawn, sits on her head and surveys the scene.

Bellatrix Lestrange, from the Harry Potter books, portrayed here before Voldemort's first fall and her time in Azkaban. Drawn for the weekly art challenge at HiH: Sugarquill, which was to draw Voldemort and/or any Death Eater of choice as a Death Eater ("which means no pimpcane Lucius," as put by the comm mods). Since blank white masks are hard to draw, Bella's just holding hers here ^^
