Lovely! I really like the background, and that yellowish glare. Jeeze, I wish I could draw like that!

I personally like it, no matter what stage of development you're at. It's not quite how I pictured him, but then again, I didn't exactly picture him before, so it's not your fault. ;-) Just my thoughts.
