Heavenly Wolves
Heavenly Wolves by @akelataka (Akela Taka)

Well, it is not finished yet... a family of wolves awaiting in the Heaven.

The whole scene is a part of much bigger picture I am working on. But the final picture is really big so when I resize it into some resolution good for websites, you can see the heavenly wolves only really small. So I put them into separated image for now :)

This is looks wonderful, the wolves look great. Are you doing this digitally or painting? Either way, it looks great, I'm sure the final version will be awesome, even if the wolves aren't as large. =D Good job there!

Beautiful! I really like the lighting on this (though I think it'd look a tad brighter if you went ahead and made the shadows a tiiiinge teeper. But not too much, 'cos they're heavenly, an all.)

Keep up the great work!

I wonder if this is just a coincidence or a common idea, but I had a strange idea much like this. I had a dream that there whre two wolves in a cave den on a high cliff in heaven. When any canine dies of a noble cause, the look on and howl a song of mourning. Now, every so often I hear wolf cries in my head, and I think of canines that die of noble cause. Your picture inspired me, I think I'm going to paint them. I haven't painted in my life, though, so It'll be new. =D I love the colours you used, the blues and gray-white is fitting for the mood. Th pups look sweet, and the adults are very realistic.
