Whew. This picture has been a long time coming. It was a labour of love, and I can only guess how many hours of work it took me. I was able to let go and just work like I haven't managed in quite some time, and not only have I produced something more like I'd like to do with my art - in terms of technical production and detail - but it's a rare instance when I feel like I've actually done something to the best of my ability.
Depicting my favourite characters from one of my all-time favourite video games, this is from the beginning of Final Fantasy VI for Super Nintendo (and all its remakes since), when Locke protects Terra in the Narshe mines.

Additional Credits: Terra and Locke belong to Square-Enix. Some design elements for Terra's outfit based on a cosplay by Itchy Tasty Gal. (I luvs her Terra. Seriously, go have a look.)
