This is a watercolor piece I am working on. It was inspired by this passage I read in a book:
"The ancient Bird-and-Snake Goddess of Water and Air begets a daughter, the pregnant earth, Goddess of Vegetation. The green child."
So, to be honest, I slipped up in not making the human figure here pregnant. It would better have fit the theme perhaps, but nonetheless I like this image a lot... the idea of Misht Soloi as the cosmic bird and snake goddess, creating herself as humanity on the green earth.
