When I first saw this picture just over two years ago, I liked it so much that I wanted to draw my own carousel horse. Yes, it took me this long to finally finish it.

I agree. I find your piece more interesting than the picture you were referencing. The character's coloring scheme makes much more sense than the other, and you've kept the whole piece simple. I'm quite fascinated by the detail you put in the carousel itself, too.
Yours came out beautiful. I love the coloring job.
