For the record, a Terran* year is about 9826 hours [hours are nearly the same], so Darian is about seventeen in Earth time, and the equivalent of a senior in high school. Similarly, Alex is almost sixteen/a junior. Just pointing this out because otherwise it doesn't come up at all, since I'm not inclined to draw the book version's conversion table in a GN.

*I know sometimes Terra[n] is substituted for Earth[ling], but it's simpler to say than Terra-Firman, and here I'm just trying to designate "not Earth" [with vague success].
