Introduction:

Poltereon is the sum of why living beings respect one another. He (well 'they'. Poltereon is a Pokemon species) is the abandonment of love, the reprecussion of trainers who harm their Eevees. He makes for a rather depressing character, reflecting on how animals are disrespected even today.

Poltereon is less well known than Sunkissed, though a bit more recognizable than Sharimy among the Pokemon species.

Story History:

Poltereons are the unfortunate Eevees who die from unnatural causes. While good natured, a few Eevees evolve during their demise, becoming a sham of life, being more or less a zombie, and the evident ghost evolutions of the species. It is thankful that there are so few, but the few that there are only know how to inflict their misery on others, often with little reason as to why.

The fan fic for this character (not yet finished), recently titled 'With Love, Hate, And Angst' where the story follows three individual Pokemon (a Sunkissed, a Poltereon, and a Sharimy) as they travel through Kanto and Johto in search for a home, a way to learn, and a reason to live.

General History:

Poltereon was created March 2001. As there were a lot of Eevee evolutions being made during this time, it seemed like a good idea to try to create one as well.

The design for Poltereon was more or less off the idea of what an Eevee would look like if it were a bit decrepid, thus Poltereon came about.

-Some of the songs chosen for various characters are more likely to influence their stories than others, this being one of them. The nature of the lyrics are more like a callout to whomever is listening, as Poltereon is the living dead and seeks 'life' (being that he wants eternal life, commonly refered to as death). Part of it is mostly intended to be sung to Sunkissed, as Poltereon's true nature is obvious to her, and he truly needs her help and guidance to escape his faded existance. In the end, the song presents more of an oxymoron to what some perceive as life, which is just what makes Poltereon's 'life' unique.
