Alas Poor Dr. Zyme by @Kooshmeister (Bill Hiers)

A what-if style picture, wherein Dr. Zyme survives the events of [i]The Giant Bacteria[/i], but with a price - although Commander Feral's helicopter distracted the bacteria monster long enough for Zyme to escape, the corrosive, infectious touch of the creature left its mark on the biochemist.

Horribly scarred on the side of his body where it touched him, and looking very much like [i]Batman[/i]'s Two-Face, he becomes a reclusive misanthrope burning for revenge against the bacteria monster's creator - his own former assistant, Dr. Viper!

Here, Zyme is seen being comforted by an original character, Dr. Belljar, who is his replacement as the head of Megakat Biochemical Labs and also his friend and confidant.
