Wish more was known about the character. It's adorable! Love the devilish look which seems enhanced by the star eye. For some reason Moogle and Tonberry come to mind with it's design. As for the fire, stock photos always seem like a good substitute for challenges. If you'd like some tips on fire drawing to regain what you had, I'd be willing to help.
