Another ancient 1998 piece! This portrait of Riesz was actually supposed to be part of the below picture, but when I changed the background of that image, I made this portrait its own image as well. Like Meridian Child, the lineart was not inked, and was colored in Paint Shop Pro in a somewhat cel style. I like her expression and I loved drawing and coloring that feathered headdress! :D The loose hairstrands in this pic aren't as bad or pronounced as those in Meridian Child. Overall, despite its age, this is still pretty cute!

What a pretty portrait, Nadia! =D Riesz's expression is lovely -- very reassuring and kind. The light gray pencil lines actually work really well with the color scheme and your style of CGing -- maybe you should try using colored lines in some of your new CGs? Like, using light brown lines around the skin, green around the armor, etc. Anyway, great work. ^_^

Hmmmmm, I'd thought about using colored lines before... Maybe I'll try to make some on a future picture!

I love this picture... especially the look in Riesz's eyes! It just radiates a genuine and almost innocent kindness that warms the heart. Her long flowing hair is really pretty, too! Kind eyes are always one of my favorite looks, well, besides the eyes that are filled with a profound sadness. =) Great SD3 artwork, almost makes me want to play the game again for the billionth time. Heh!

For some reason, the gray lines work really well with this. The cel shading is very nicely done, it has an almost oekaki style feel to it. I really like the colors, and her super-cute expression!

Heh, now that I look at it, it does remind me of an oekaki! Almost makes me want to go and draw a Riesz oekaki at the boards here... Maybe tomorrow...

Ooh, you know what this looks like, the way you colored it, especially with the gray outline and with the shadow? A little painted enamel pin or something. Wouldn't that be awesome, little SD3 pin-ons? Really cool, Nadia!

~looks at the picture~ Hey, yeah, it reminds me of these pins I keep seeing at my import store of all sorts of different anime and game characters... Maybe with a silver instead of gray lineart... it could work... O_o;;
