SD Lovebirds sketch
SD Lovebirds sketch by @smarle (Staci/Nadia)

We've been having quite a bit of money (and computer) problems lately, so my friend DP so kindly commissioned me to draw a picture of him and his girlfriend, Sraph. Being a fan of SDness, I drew them in my SD style. Sraph is a big fan of animals, like I am, and she has a ton of them, so I decided to draw her petting some animals with DP watching and enjoying the happy moment with her. Awwwwwwwwwww, warm and fuzzy!

Unfortunately, I think my SD style still needs a little work, and I'm afraid that it's not looking as good as I'd hoped. I'm not sure if I got DP's hair okay and the poses and animals look kind of lame... ;_; Hands are still a source of problems for me, SD or not... ^^;;;;; I do like Sraph's hair and face, though. Despite how I feel about the picture, my friends, including DP himself, seem to like it, so I guess it's successful enough to ink and color. I'll post a completed version here when it's done and I can scan it...

It IS cute, Nadi, and there's nothing wrong with the animals. I can't wait to see it finished. I think it's just DP's left hand that looks awkward, and more because of the arm than the hand itself. It kinda looks like he's holding his arm out a bit, I guess, and that makes the thumb look like it's at a weird angle.

Post more. =3

Yeah, that arm really bothers me... I'll try to move the arm closer to his body, but his hand's still probably gonna look too stiff... Guess I still need a bit more work with hands and arms... ^^;;;; Hopefully the finished version will look a little better... ^^;;;

It's far too late for a comment, but why the heck not? ^_~

I think that, with this sketch, you did an excellent job! Even though my own pose isn't much, I absolutely love the pose you chose for Tonya! That and the little animals came out extremely cute as well!

I can't really say much more since there's really not all that much more to say about this sketch, but you've done an excellent job! ^_^

Aw, don't worry, DP--it's never too late for a comment! ;)

I'm sorry that the poses came out kind of stiff, especially yours... ^^;;; I really need to work on better poses... ^^;;; But I'm glad you like the picture anyways! :D
