Execution of Wesker
Execution of Wesker by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

Full image used in this comic with minor improvements.

Communicating depth has always been one of my major weak spots, and one of the reasons I'm generally averse to drawing backgrounds in any sort of significant detail. I am therefore quite happy with how this turned out, regardless of other deficiencies; the perspective on the clouds is a little flat and in retrospect I should have tried for the buildings past the columns, but as a whole I'm content with it, and will hopefully find the time to revisit this sketch in future.

Thorvald of Lym executes Albert Wesker Soviet-style in St. Peter's Square, now the domain of the areligious and morally dubious Sibling Empire. Highlighting Thorvald's role as antagonist triumvir in the alternate timeline is his change of wardrobe, leather/mail armour replaced by the uniform grey officer's jacket.

Reference for the Square was images from Google Street View.

Yooo the background is so well done, i love how you did the shading on the floor, and the idea to use google street view for background references is brilliant (i’ll be stealing that one :p)

I’d love to see this one colored -

@Camazotz: There are a few old sketches I've mused colourizing, and now that you mention it, this one could work..!

(Since I'd originally intended to upload this alongside the actual comics, this piece never made it to InkBlot. :p )
