More very, very old art. Because there wasn't much else to do during the blackout besides snark at that obnoxious band of Eponine fangirls on the forum.

That's right, he fears her. He wasn't all full of warm squishy lovey feelings for her. She sort of creeped him out, really. And who wouldn't be, if they were in love with someone and being stalked by an obsessive grungy little critter? ...and let's not forget the fact that she tried to get him killed, at one point... is pro-Marius x Cosette, for those who couldn't tell

Don't get me wrong, I like Eponine, but I like her because she's a psychotic little waif with actual human tendencies, NOT because she's "the perfect heroine", "such a survivor", or because I "can soooo relate to her". Because she isn't, she didn't, and I don't.

Another little thing I did out of boredom years ago, but am still sort of fond of...oddly enough, this was my most popular image over at dA o_o;; I'll submit some decent Les Mis art someday...

Oh, and if anyone was wondering, the address on the image is my under-heavy-construction site I'll be storing art and old Live Journal rants and such on, in the event I un-lazy myself and actually work on it -_-;

snickers This is so cute and amusing. I remember liking this even before you'd told me (much) of Les Mis. The expressions are wonderful. ^_^ And as always, your shading is lovely. ...Is she missing a couple of fingers, though? tries to count them

For just an odd, random drawing, it's so adorable. ^_^

Oi, yes, I was blasting you with Les Mis info within a week of meeting you, wasn't I? ^_^;;

snuggles for the compliment to her shading and expressions I can snark even with fanart! ...and yeah, she's missing fingers...opted to just go for the cartoon-ish three-fingers-and-a-thumb look, as it isn't really a serious enough picture to warrant the frustration of fitting all the fingers in and together...snerk Though Lauren did say this should be the flag of the anti-fangirl-Eponine fan, so maybe I ought to rework it...

Hehe, I love pictures showing the guy fearing a girl. ^_^ I need to finish reading Les Mis. It was one of those books I never got around to finishing in high school.

You've done nice shading and adding depth to the characters. I like how you have the tones of grayish black and browns as sort of a color scheme to the picture, with the occasional dash of red to add some vividness.

The cartoony-ness of it makes it cute and funny! I love how he's clutching that book. I bet he's restraining himself from using it to bat her away, eh?

The only thing that really strikes me odd is how there's not much distance between her neck and her bosom. Not sure exactly what it is about that. ^^;;

blinks ...I didn't reply to this earlier? Odd...o.o;

purrs and snuggles Oooh, finish it, finish it! They had us read a really hacked-up abridges version in high school...the unabridged version is much, much better, as long as you don't let the ridiculously long history tangent-chapters get to you...

Oh, how I'd love to see Marius squeak and bat her away...especially since in the musical, at this scene she'd be grabbing them and trying to flirt and play keep-away...seeing her swatted would be muchly too amusing...

snerks at the bosom comment Er...perhaps her chest is very...sloping? Or her arms are low? Or she's discovered a push-up bra of the 19th century? But yeah, you're probably right ^^;

LOL. The expressions are my favorite thing here. XD Priceless. I also love how you did the coloring and shading. Eponine's arms look a bit too short, though. ^^; I really like her hat, for some reason. Maybe because it seems unusual to see a female wearing a hat like that during the time period of the story.

bats at Eponine's fangirls with a broom

Yeah, her arms are probably a little short...or, if you like, you can draw off of Cassie's comment and assume it's all a problem with her breast-positioning XD;

Ah, her hat...costume-wise I just relied on my show brochure from the musical...and Eponine's Hat has become legendary among the fandom...nearly as Legendary as Enjolras' Vest, but not as legendary as Javert's Sideburns XD
