Sketchbook Shadow
Sketchbook Shadow by @Agondray

High school sketchbook drawing #12

I don’t think this guy needs any introduction, but I’m going to do it anyway. This is none other Shadow the Hedgehog, a character who may actually be more popular than even Sonic himself. Shadow really is a cool character, a good rival to the Blue Blur like Knuckles, and is pretty powerful on his own. Despite being depicted as an edge-lord in the current games/comics, I still like him as much as the other characters.

Like the other Sonic sketches, his pose is based on a comic book cover. This one a variant of Sonic Universe #69. I don’t remember if I have the actual comic itself, but I did use the cover as reference for this sketch.

I feel like this was when I really started to nail the design of these characters. Had to leave a tiny bit of his top quill off the page, but everything else looks really good in my opinion. I also decided to not include the ‘eye shadow’ that I had on Sonic and Amy, as Shadow didn’t really need it and it would have looked a little off otherwise. I am happy how this one turned out in the end.

Hope you all enjoy as well!

@Weasel_Silver24: Thank you!

Shadow is definitely someone the average person wouldn’t want to mess with.
