DYOS 11: THE HAAAAAX!

Ten Steps Ahead [Bonus Comic]
Ten Steps Ahead [Bonus Comic] by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

Bonus comic for DYOS XI, originally intended to air following this one.

CivGeneral may be at the front lines of danger on a regular basis, but as a storyteller, @GenMarshall is very risk-averse. I knew that despite the cataclysmic setup his preceding comic presented, the climax would be... underwhelming. As I predicted from the comic itself, in his follow-up, power to the device conveniently cuts out at the very last second.

Despite him stating he already had a resolution to the cliffhanger, I tried to intercept the plot with this. The idea is twofold: CG (very briefly) must confront the consequences of his dilemma; secondly, force the Hammer's retreat, stranding CG and Co. in enemy territory, and thereby putting them in "real" danger. I might have even managed to push it through before he posted the second half, but odds are he would have fought me over the twist and discounted it anyway. I knew I was taking a gamble regardless.

As this comic generally illustrates, I didn't think much of Wesker as a villain. :p My line about shooting him myself is a tongue-in-cheek throwback to the Alternate Timeline.
