DYOS 11: THE HAAAAAX!

Pirates v. Pirates, Part II
Pirates v. Pirates, Part II by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

My 43rd submission to DYOS XI. [link]

Underscoring how badly I fell out of sync with the pace of the plot, this the second half of a two-parter aired nine months after the first. By this time, the Space Pirates were more or less finished as villains of consequence, but I had specific reasons for following through besides simple self-gratification.

This was a lot of fun to do, and I consider it to be of a notably higher quality than what I turn out on average. It gave me an excuse to experiment with new poses and perspectives; it's also the first exhibition of Reynaud's crew in action, and given how we're now looking to end the thread, will probably be the last such demo in XI.

I think this single comic has more appeals to Affirmative Action than anywhere else in DYOS. :p I won't even try to explain the composition of this crew, but suffice to say, their toys might be dated but their tactics are lethal.
