Samus Aran
Samus Aran by @deaddays (John Rios)

The year was 1986. I was 5. I was still drooling on myself most of the time (some things never change), but this was the year that METROID was released for the NES. While I didn't really get around to it till I was about 7, it was (and still is) one of the best games I've ever played. Now, in late 2002, METROID PRIME and FUSION are coming out: happy happy day! Another plus: Samus Aran (the star of the game) looks cooler than ever! But dammit, she just doesn't really look girly (yes, it's a girl!). They always bulk her up, especially in METROID FUSION where she wears a form fitting suit, but her body totally looks like a dude's body! So, to pay my respects, I though I'd draw Samus the way she SHOULD look in that suit... LIKES A WOMAN. Yeah! That suit was a bastard to draw by the way. Metroid rocks. Oooh. Nice details. To be honest, I can't see the difference between this and her other suit, but that's OK. I've always had the urge to write a Metroid fanfic even though I've never played a Metroid game... this is really cool! Hmm, maybe now I guess there is a LITTLE bit of difference in her suit...

Suddenly has flashbacks of "Casual Day Gone Too Far" pic she tried to draw a while back XD

Cool! Samus lookin' extra spiffy here, John! Great job! I've always actually admired how Samus looks so non-Lara Croft-ish and still manages to pull off being the star of such coolio games. Y'know, how her creators didn't make her just to flaunt her femininity in an attempt to make teenage boys droolish. Well, that's my two cents, anyway.

Once again, GREAT pic! ^^
