This image was done using 3D max, a software specializing in 3d animation.I am not very fond of 3d but when I realize it can render 2d like effects or cell-shading I just had to try it out.Like the ones you see in "Zoids". By the way, this is actually a Flash animation because 3D max can export "vector art". believe it or not...:)

Wow...I'm not a fan of 3D art either, but a lot of those mechs look really nifty and clean. They remind me of Rockman Dash! mechs for some reason. X3;
