Dancing Bubbles
Dancing Bubbles by @bleedman (bleed man)

Just for fun I made a little dancing animation of Bubbles, this is probably my first animated gif where I had to draw about 8 to 9 frames just to make her boogy..."whew" it was kinda fun making it.

OMG! It looks like an anime-ized Bubbles! SO cute! I love it! You should draw a dancing (or doin' somethin else) Blossom and Buttercup! Good job! ^^

This is an excellent animation! I have rarely seen a .gif that moves this smoothly. You should definetly be proud of yourself. Even if it was standing still, this would be a very cute picture of Bubbles in an original style. You definetly have skill as an animator--you captured several tiny instances of motion in one small animation. I really appreciate how you put in those details, they really make her look like she's dancing--which she is! I'm truly impressed.

I think your next animation should try for more shading, though I don't know how much gifs can handle. Good luck with more animation! I really will be looking forward to it!

Many thanks, I guess i could call it 1 small step for gifs and 1 giant leap for cartoons. And yeah i'm sure adding some shadings would make it look a lot better. Thanks for the advice :)

AWww! how cute! ^_^ Did you have to use a special software to make it?

Posted: Sunday, 18 January, 2004 @ 07:28 PM

No... of course not. The only software I used was photoshop. The special tools were compose of simply a light box, yknow a drawing table with light underneath, some paper clips, fasteners and a puncher to punch holes. After drawing about 9 pages I just scanned them and import to photoshop and export as gifs with all the layers in place. pretty cool huh? :)

I'm in my early 20's and I don't this as a job but as a hobby. i'm currently working in a multimedia company as a web animator. This artworks are what I often do in my free time. Anyway concerning your little tutor request I'll try to work something out , well cause right now schedules are getting kinda tight. But we'll figure out something. Just e-mail if you have questions...:)
