Mermaid, drawn and inked on wood
Mermaid, drawn and inked on wood by @Lys (Lys Blakeslee)

Yay, aren't mermaids cool?! She hasn't got hair because, as I see it, what would be the point? It would just drag her down .... I like how she looks, but my mum keeps trying to convince me to add hair. Hmm. Anyway, the main reason I scanned this, besides the fact that I like how the ink-line stuff came out, is that I have to cut out all the un-inked stuff to make a print of this for my art class, and I know I'll mess it up. So now, at least I'll have a copy of it un-messed up ... stupid art assingments that I always mess up, anyway ... How do you all like it?

One last thing I will add to this long description: If anyone has suggestions as to what I should draw now, I'd certainly welcome them! I'm totally out of ideas at the moment ... T_T boo. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Lys Blakeslee

Yee! Its the Mermaid! Cool! Where'd you put the gills, anyway? You drew that ON A PIECE OF WOOD?? Is that a fancy way of saying paper? Ehh... oh well. ANOTHER GREAT PIECE OF ARTWORK DONE BY LYS!!!!

Thanks for your comment Tom! Actually, this wasn't on paper, it was wood, the stiff kind one carves with tools and such ... ehe .... I didn't put the gills anywhere, but they're probably on the back .....
