This was my contribution to the March Monthly Art Contest Here at Side 7. The idea was to draw what a baby animal would see looking out on the world for the first time.

This was done in mechanical and colored pencils.

I love the scene.. can hear the wind blowing the grass. Reminds me of hinding in te bower between my grandmothers Holly and Lilac bushes as a kid. Keep on keeping on. You've gotten the hard part, FACES. Now need the 2nd hardest, shadows. It's tempting [I give in too] to ignore the shadows to avoid lss of detail. All in all a great peice. Peace Out TDN

Thanks for the comment! :) It's very encouraging. I've been working on shadows alot lately and I've made tons of progress, so I think I'm on the right track.
