The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is a brilliant comic series by Alan Moore (aka that "Watchmen" and "From Hell" guy), and Kevin O'Neill. It's about a bunch of famous characters from Victorian literature who band together to save the world (aka London). The submarine is the Nautilus. The lady is Miss Murray. She is my hero. sigh

I LOVE this picture! I know I'm probably very deprived for never having heard of this comic before, but now I have! And I must say, it sounds quite interesting. There's so much movement and energy, and that shading! The pattern on her dress is simple, but it adds so much. Wonderful work!
