Asta - White Mage
Asta - White Mage by @klawzie (Chella Reaves)

Asta, my Final Fantasy fan character, in her White Mage costume.

For a LJ game that seems to be stalled. It's mostly Final Fantasy X/X-2, but we were welcome to incorporate any aspect of any of the other games too. So Asta's costumes are primarily Final Fantasy Tactics Advance based. :)

I think this is another well done piece. I reallylike the outfit but what I especially like is how you did the subtle fading her hair where it has nice blue edges.

Very nice texutres on the staff

Thanks! :)

That was actually... not so subtle. ;D The hair was colored using the Scratchboard tool in Painter7. The ends shift color only because of the pressure I used. :D

As for the staff - I know I started off with airbrush, but was getting frustrated and used the Scratchboard tool again for texture. ;D

Ahh, I need to start using Painter, I just got my tablet this september (first time I actually owned a computer and tablet in my life :o) and I was given Painter 8.

But I love traditional scratchboards, have you ever used one? I miss seeing those around it was so much fun working against black to create white lines.

I think the techniques you used are quite lovely nonetheless. :)
