On The Rocks by @cavalier (Amy K. Cyrway)

During the second revision of Tethers, I was trying to add more description to the final battle (which ends up taking two chapters - although other stuff happens within those chapters, mostly Wulfie getting stupid, Reese and Nata getting confrontational with Kasey, and Gary trying to figure out when the hell reality decided to take a coffee break.) So while Jenny was reading over the expanded scene, I got the image in my mind of Cade dragging himself out of the water and assessing the impossible situation from a perch on one of the pylons. I sketched it out, put it in a "to be completed" file, and left it for dead.

Until the next class, when I realised I needed something to paint. So I pulled out the sketch, worked on the pose, and transfered it to watercolour paper to paint.

This is my first traditional watercolour, using proper technique - I think.
