what did u wanna be when you were a kid?

Like an adult, I could never decide. Some options were artist, writer, and veterinarian (quickly discarded - couldn't handle euthanasia).

Any plans for Halloween?

Posted: 28 Dec 2010, 05:08 PM

I tend to plan my Halloweens month and months in advance. Next year's will be the usual Birthday/Halloween/Bitrhday with my fiance (I guess he'll be my husband by then o_o) and as many of our friends as we can muster. I'm looking online for a Kokiri Sword because I have a Hylian Shield that fits me the same way it fits kid Link in OOT (like a turtle shell; I can hide under it!), so I want to do that for my costume. It all comes down to the sword, though; those things are literally impossible to find, I don't have it in my budget to custom order one, and I'd rather have a real one than a papercraft.

What's your favorite coffee drink? ^,^

Posted: 13 Mar 2011, 09:04 AM

I dont like any coffee. But I do drink coca cola which I think ahs caffeine in it?

like snow?

Posted: 14 Mar 2011, 02:39 PM

I love snow! It's the only thing that makes cold weather worthwhile. And even then, only if it's the wet, sticky kind and not the useless powdery kind; snow's no fun if you can't pack it into a ball and throw it at people. ^^;

On that note, what did you do during the Snowpocalypse, if you were hit by it?

Posted: 18 Mar 2011, 11:43 PM

The snowpocalypse didn't hit southern Ontario like it did the eastern U.S. We might have gone up to my mother-in-law's to go snowshoeing.

What's the biggest thing you're looking forward to in the near future?

Not my art, but I'm always bemused that, after unlocking the DYOS 10 thread for maintenance two years after it ended and four years after it started, someone asked for sauce for a comic on the first page.

So anyway, does anyone remember which of my half-dozen backups has CivConverter?

My guess would be the fourth one. :)

How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

RE: The dumb question game
Posted: 31 Mar 2023, 08:10 AM

I've seen them fling twigs while rummaging through my garden in search of their favorite weeds. The wood don't fall far from the 'chuck, so I'mma saaay.. about tree fiddy.

If cost and availability weren't issues, and you could have any creative tools or supplies that you've been wanting to try, what would be your top three choices?

..nah, isn't that the doctor from Nightmare Before Christmas who made Sally?

Legit dumb question.. did something happen to lead to this thread getting mod-chopped? I recall that my last post here was replied to by someone else, and I don't think there was anything controversial in that reply, but I no longer see it. Were any posts deleted by mistake during cleanup? (I'm sure that I do come across as an entitled prat, no denying that, but I have a feeling that BK's response was aimed at someone else. I don't know, and I don't mind, but it's bugging me that my memories don't synch with the posts here.)

There's a glitch in the database that wipes forum posts if the original account is terminated. I don't know if they're actually deleted or just hidden; BK is looking into it.

I'm going to pretend that's a question. Yes.

My question today for the next person: What's the biggest case of mistaken identity you've ever been a part of?

People often mistake me for an adult due to my age.

Jokes aside, when people see me, they generally assume that I'm there specifically to help them. Since I like to be helpful, I don't mind playing along. In many stores (grocery, craft, pet, gun shop..), customers think I work there and ask me where to find things, and how to use things. If I know the answer, I act super courteous and point them in the right direction, and if I don't know, I point them to the Customer Service desk, or suggest using the company's Web site to reach out. It can be fun to play along like that, and it's always a laugh when they come back to me later and ask how I manage to get away with dressing how I do instead of wearing the store's uniform. XD At other times, though, that can be a problem. At my actual security job, my main role is to keep an eye on things while not drawing attention to myself, so, I wear plain clothes and keep my keys, gear, and other giveaways concealed. I don't look intimidating, but smart people can still clock me as having authority, and since I look a little more friendly and understanding than my male coworkers, they head my way if they feel like they need to report something. At least four times already, people have straight-up assumed that I was a police officer and began telling me about high level criminal activity that was beyond the scope of what I'm trained/allowed to deal with. That has lead to some sticky situations, but fortunately, I haven't been dragged into anything too heavy. I hope it stays that way..

Would you rather have a pet hornet that didn't like you very much, or an inedible replica of your favorite food; for example, wax fruit or a rubber hotdog?

I'd have the hornet, because that I could cook and eat as real food, assuming I prepare it properly.

Who is your least favorite historical figure?
