Neema N'Kai is a 17 year old white lionness. She's very brash and outgoing, and quite cruel to people she does not know. However, if you're her friend she's one of the best friends one could ever have. She's very loving and kind, but it takes a very long time to gain her trust.

Neema has had a rough childhood. Her mother was a drug addict and abandoned her father and her just a bit after she was born. By the time she was 4 her father starting beating her, 7 he started raping her, and 12 he lost his job and sent her to work to bring in the income to support them both. Unable to find a job at this young age she got involved in the drug business.

Neema tried to run away when she was 15, but her father found her and taught her a lesson she'll never forget. She kept working, dealing drugs and getting into terrible situations where was gang raped, beaten - and shot a few times. She survived, much to her dismay, and was forced to continue.

Finally unable to take it anymore she tried to kill herself when she was 17, but her friend Shadow stopped by randomly and found her bleeding on the floor and took her to the hospital. There they learned, after much prying from her, of her father and what he does to her. The social services arrested him and Neema now lives with her best friend Sugar (a white mouse) in a nice large house with her own room.

However, the fear is still there, that someday her father will get out and come for her...
