AE-23 Progress Model 20240311-A
AE-23 Progress Model 20240311-A by @fragmented_imagination (B Sanders)

Been a little busy with the AE-23. Still teasing a few things out, but I modeled the air intakes, the pitot tube (on the nose) and a rough outline of the canopy. The canopy might be scaled around a bit while I try to get an idea of how big I want this craft to look, but it's a start. I found out that Hexagon had some kind of backfacing feature which was causing the odd edges on the previous model, so I turned it off. I've been looking at modeling landing gear next, which I am sure is going to be a new sort of pain. I'm not even sure how I'm going to place them, but I've been researching designs to get a sense of how this is going to work. Nice thing about being the son of a retired Air Force staff sergeant; I know how these things are meant to fly and land.
