This picture and many others are dedicated to the memory of Maximum Flower Shredder Bell, or Max for short. If you look into the eyes of the eyes of the puppy in the corner, don't look at them, but look into them, you can almost see tears building up like he's crying because I'm not with him. A lot of my art, when you look into the eyes of the people in the picture, you can actualy see emotions. When you look at the picture of the half dog face, half human face, you can see the emotions in the eyes. and yes, the one half of the face is mine. but look hard into the eyes of the half of the face that is Max's. if you look hard enough, you can almost feel the sorrow, and you can see the tears. I know I must sound like a raving lunatic saying all this, but drawing this picture almost broke my heart. I loved my dog so much, and there was such a strong bond of friendship that I can't look at this picture without actualy crying. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Erica Bell
