Jarvian JESF Enlisted Rank Insignia
Jarvian JESF Enlisted Rank Insignia by @fragmented_imagination (B Sanders)

With the combining of Yutsha and Ca'eacedt assets into a joint military defense/space exploration venture, the Jarvians merged their ranking systems and did away with any emblems that represented either former space fleet. It was not an easy process, as former members of both fleets wanted to at least maintain some idea of the old ranking system and continued to butt heads until their Ekimian peacemakers told them to cut it out or get dismissed from both the table and Ekim itself, most likely by way of a large, wooden crate and the international postal system. It was decided that a simple iconography would be best since any sort of embellishment was already pushing cooperation out the window.

The ranks in the Joint Exploration Space Fleet are represented by one of three items depending on what it is attached to. Rank pins are used on regular duty uniforms, generally shipboard or military installation. The green patches are used on field uniforms. Rank badges are worn on formal uniforms or even on civilian clothing depending on the function. The rank pins include smaller, red triangles that denote five years of service each. It would take time to add these to uniforms; while many retained their ranks or an equivalent rank from either the Yutsha or Ca'eacedt space fleets, no one was allowed to count their time in the service for these pins, often leading to E-8s, E-9s, and E-10s retiring without even obtaining a service pin.

The Jarvian JESF quickly established both Fe'dh and Ca'enacetaç as their official languages since most soldiers from either space fleet spoke one or the other, and new soldiers are taught both languages while the use of one or the other is often determined by the soldiers themselves. The ranks are as follows, with the Fe'dh language rank first, followed by the Ca'enacetaç language rank. As these are very confusing, it is hard to give a direct translation into NATO ranks.
- E-1: Hahtim / Yecaç
- E-2: Hahtim-Colro Ve / Bonste
- E-3: Hahtim-Saeno Ve / Çaelomm
- E-4: Aruk / Piome
- E-5: Fahlx / A'game
- E-6: Idd' / Qozome
- E-7: B'tleong / Pioköbf
- E-8: Orahldd / A'gaköbf
- E-9: Lsuzhoni Orahldd / Qozoköbf
- E-10: Fenhrahd-Orahldd / Eďhköbf
