Critters 45b: Sabline Adult
Critters 45b: Sabline Adult by @VioletWhirlwind (Violet Whirlwind)

Old stuff first. Getting into better critters now.

This is a critter that came from a dream I had. Oddly enough, I think the younger stages were drawn better. With my critters, if they are going to have stages, I start out with the adult, and go backwards from there XD That means that I drew the adult first, and I was a bit out of practice with my quadrupeds, so...yeah.

Anyway...things about the creature: What I got from the dream, is that it is an extremely loyal and refined riding-type beast, combining traits of canines and Sable antelopes, with a horse-like tail, and a skirt-mane of long silky hair on their lower necks. Newborns have only the top-neck-mane, the skirt doesn't start growing until the sabline reaches fawn stage (2nd stage).

Sabline are highly intelligent, though not quite sentient. Despite having clawed paws, they are strictly herbivorous, dining on anything from grass to bushes to roots. They use their clawed paws to dig up roots and tubers.

And that's what I have so far.

New inking-style.
