"The Reject" by @Kooshmeister (Bill Hiers)

Dr. Penward's reptilian-themed experiments for Darren Sessler have turned out some interesting results. Like this guy. After the less than stellar results of mutating a guard into a mouse-lizard hybrid, Penward tried to splice mouse and reptile DNA on a genetic level and created this hulking, musclebound behemoth, but he proved mindlessly violent, wildly unpredictable, and consequently has to be kept in a pit under the floor (Rancor, anyone?).

Only Sessler can do anything with him; he won't even listen to his creator, Dr. Penward, but the reptile-loving Sessler has a knack for occasionally being able to sooth the savage beast, so to speak. Aside from simply being a pet for Sessler and a curiosity for Penward, he's also used to dispose of unwanted individuals without leaving bodies, considering he is A. really huge and B. very hungry all the time (Rancor, Rancor, Rancor! God I am so shameless!). And of course, Sessler loves watching him eat...
