While not being entirely above the antics of a military force, Matilda generally comes across as stuffy and so far down-to-Earth that an opposing gravitational field must be in operation so she does not pierce the core of the planet. Her strict ways come from the sense of responsibility she receives from her story. Like Sandy, Mattie is a long-lived story, albeit one which has managed to mellow out enough to occasionally snap back at the other stories. If you have done something wrong and Mattie is not mad at you, expect her vast repertoire of military knowledge to be put into use against you in the future. Other than that, she has been known to unwind a bit and even watch television. Just remember that, although she is not regularly armed, she does not need to be in order to kill you five different times at once.

Her clothing is mostly different uniforms from the militaries featured in her story. Her favored uniform is the Jarvian J.E.S.F. command-style uniform.
