This is for my Dream RPG site, another creature that I made up called a Hawthry. It is a small relative of dragons. It has no legs, as you can see, but it's tail is prehensial so that it can hang from branches, and that is how it "lands". It's colors serve as camoflauge, as it lives in the forest. It is about the size of a hawk, minus the tail, with a slightly bigger wingspan. And it's eyesight is extremely strong, a little stronger than a hawk's eyesight, and it can see almost as well at night. I only drew the branch so that it wouldn't just look like it was hanging in the air. I would have liked to make a background that looks like leaves, but I didn't know how so I just used the same technique I almost always use. I used to make the background in colors that would match with the subject, but now I use colors that show up when the picture is inverted, so that it creates more contrast. It just so happens that the greens turned out pink when inverted..And then I use some filters to make it look more interesting. I'm really bad at drawing backgrounds, and to me this is better than just leaving it white.
