Just wanted to post something before I say hi in the introduction board.

Likes: anime - i've watched about 400!!; my switch - i mainly play turn-based JRPGs, simulations, and visual novels; the ocean - i love falling asleep to the sound of the waves... i also love ocean related horror; tea - especially green tea/matcha!! i also really like peppermint tea and hibiscus tea; cuddling - i'm a very touchy person; animals - i love animals and animals love me!!.
Dislikes: ecchi - least favorite anime genre lol. i love fanservice and all, but keep it tasteful. c'mon.; action/shooter games - aka the "real" video game genres; capitalism - i pray to god this speaks for itself; coffee - too bitter for me; math - makes me want to cry; spiders - the only living creature i will fight.

@uu-hime: Ooooooh okay I have a few different answers for that. My favorite manga that also HAS an anime (that I've watched twice, so I do also like it, I just think the manga has better pacing,) is Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun. I went into thinking it was gonna be a cute ghostly romcom and then it hit me with a sledgehammer. It's great I love it! My favorite anime in a technical sense, (like, looks good, is well written, and deeply interesting, but I don't think about it very often) is a tie between Puella Magi Madoka Magica and March Comes In Like a Lion. My favorite anime that I enjoy but sucks on a technical level is Bungou Stray Dogs. The story structure leaves... a lot to be desired and a lot of the characters aren't super deep, but also some of the characters are VERY deep and I think about them very often. And my favorite mainstream anime that's currently ongoing is Jujutsu Kaisen!!

@fizzytastic: Oh, very cool! I love Madoka and JJK so you've got great taste lol. I haven't seen the others you've listed but I've been meaning to check out Hanako-kun for a while now

@uu-hime: I HIGHLY recommend Hanako-kun lol, manga or otherwise. I even have a Hanako-kun themed itabag!! There was a season 2 announcement recently, actually. Well, technically it was announced as "project restart" which some people have taken to mean "reboot" but I think just means they're picking the project back up. So interpret that as you will!! There will either be a season 2 or reboot. XD What are your favorites??

@fizzytastic: I'm a BIG fan of magical girls! Creamy Mami is my favorite, but I also love Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and, yknow, Madoka lol. Of the more recent shows, I'm really digging Log Horizon and Demon Slayer's new seasons. (I'm pretty behind with JJK rn unfortunately skljda)

@uu-hime: I love Cardcaptor Sakura too!! I'm a big fan of CLAMP works in general, actually. I also really like Cardcaptor's sister series Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, which is entirely an alternate universe (so it looses the magical girl aspect.) In Cardcaptor, Sakura is the protagonist and Syaoran is an important side character, but in Tsubasa, Syaoran is the protagonist and Sakura is the deuteragonist. They have a completely different dynamic in Tsubasa too, since in Cardcaptor they start off as enemies and then develop puppycrushes way later. Whereas in Tsubasa, they're childhood friends who are ALMOST ready to confess to liking each other, before Sakura's soul shatters and she looses all her memories. I just think it's really neat!! I haven't watched TOO much of Sailor Moon (I've watched season one and other episodes really randomly) but my favorite characters are Haruka and Seiya lol. I've never heard of Creamy Mami though, what's it about? Inversely, I am really behind on Demon Slayer XD I got distracted during the entertainment district arc and haven't gotten back to it yet
