Compared to later riggings both official and third-party, the original Half-Life 2 ragdolls are pretty restricted in their range of movements. This MW2-based Spetsnaz pack, while fiddly, allows for a lot more flexibility, and thus, much more natural poses. The comic was partly to try this out, and partly to contrast the professionalism (or lack thereof) between the Space Nazis and their opponents.
