The Secret Chord
The Secret Chord by @Indifferent (Jacqueline Rawlings)

Just a picture of Alex, when his hair was still black and he had all of his limbs, and his fiancée, Emily. The picture's really supposed to take place in the future (like fifty-seventy years ish?); the old fashioned dress is just part of the outfits they wear for their concerts (Alex is a pianist/maestro, Emily plays the violin), and the black-and-white/muted look was used so it would feel more like a reminiscence of Alex's. :3 Also they're in the front lawn of a concert hall, not a park.

I wanted to draw this because I think I've been portraying poor Alex as a bit of a monster (none of my characters are truly evil, no matter how cruel or mean they seem to be). Part of the reason he's so spiteful is the loss of his wife, which had an extreme, almost crippling impact on him. I just wanted to do a sad, but sweet picture of him to show him in a bit of a better light. I think I've captured that mood, to an extent, here. :)
