So that's what that's called! I get that a lot when I give my pictures black backgrounds, and I apologize for it. I really need to get better at coloring my artwork.

Nice! You depicted the character well. It looks like it might've been a frame from a Pirates of the Caribbean cartoon. The squinted eye in particular really adds a lot to the feel of the picture. There's a bit of antialiasing around the edges of the character that is a little distracting. The drawing itself is great, though.
