Freaky Fish
Freaky Fish by @Jansu (Brandon Ballenger)

Another quick thing I did while I was bored. I'm finding smudging and finger painting in Photoshop to be a lot of fun lately.

I heart this. The greenish background was an interesting choice instead of basic blue, and it makes it look like the fish is in an aquarium or maybe a coral reef in shallow water. The green also looks great with the fushia and orange on the fish! The colors are probably my favorite aspect of this image. The little googly eye is really cute too; it makes the fish look kinda like a cartoon.

My only suggestion here would be to try a more interesting composition -- the square shape with a bright focal point in the center doesn't really allow the eye to move around much. You could try making the focal point off-center, or put some objects in the foreground.

Great work, Janus!

Pwetty fishy! ^-^ The big fins and coloration makes it seem like a funky tropical fish! And the eye definitely looks like one of those googly eyes, like Amy said--it almost looks like it would move if you shook the picture, LOL... Nifty leafy background, too!

My only critique for this would be that the picture seems flat for the most part... I mean, the fish stands out from the background, and the eye definitely seems real, but it doesn't feel like a 3D environment... And there's no cute little water bubbles from when the fishy moves... :(

But it's a coot widdle picture of a coot widdle fishy, so it's all good! ^-^

This looks like it should be a Metroid enemy... In Maridia. ^^;;; Looks GOOD though! ^^
