DOUBLE OFFENSE + SPEEDPAINT [Dec 22, 2016]
DOUBLE OFFENSE + SPEEDPAINT [Dec 22, 2016] by @Fireseeker_Arts (Fireseeker Arts)

So couple of fun facts about this piece! First, the composition was inspired by a small clip seen from the opening of Yu-Gi-Oh! Season 5 here:

I am unsure if I have mention this here, but Yu-Gi-Oh! has been a very heavy inspiration for me. Not only in terms of composition [There are TONS from the anime and manga that I am inspired by] but also in art style and drawing in general. If it wasn't for this little series my artstyle would have been VERY different. If not I might have not been an artist at all.

Second off, this piece was a Christmas gift for one of my best friends. Alot of the characters I have created are inspired by people in my life. Nothing too self-inserty, but I like taking inspiration off of my friend's and loved one's personality and put them into a character. The friend who inspired me to make Nightember, is in fact like a brother to me. He's one who is fiercely protective and values his family. He will do just about anything to support them and make sure that they are safe. These are traits I wish to put into Nightember, even if he will be VASTLY different compared to my friend. I hope one day I will redraw this piece using the current designs of Nightember and Fireseeker.
