German graves, Neuville-St Vaast
German graves, Neuville-St Vaast by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

Graves of German soldiers of the First World War in the Neuville-St Vaast cemetery, France.

I was quite taken by the unique tombstones for the Jewish soldiers. I don't know the history of the cemetery, so I can't say if these were present when it was originally established in 1919; regardless, these men's sacrifice in the Great War makes the irony all the more deplorably tragic.
