Biography

What would you like to know? I've been drawing since I was young when I drew mostly cats and dogs and the occasional horse. Sometime around middle school I started drawing dragons and "furry" type creatures. I've always felt animals have more of a human side to them than we give them credit for, or is it humans have more animal in them than we give ourselvses credit for? Either way. I Like to do a lot of crossbreeds recently, I've also been experimenting with humaniods more, (previously a subject I NEVER explored) it seems I'm pretty good at them which is a surprise to me, but as an artist you tend to recognize that mammals all have a similar general anatomy. Being an artist has a so much to do with recognizing the subtleties of the world, being able to see things in another way. Of course it also has to do with self expression. Anyway on to media... I mostly work in pencil, preferable 0.3 mechanical. I prefer bristol board as a surface because it's smooth and thick, the corners don't curl and the paper doesn't give you a grainy texture. When I get around to coloring I use prisma colored pencils and markers. Thats about it for now, I'm glad to be a new member of side7. If you want more info about me and my art feel free to email me or you can visit my Elfwood gallery which has alot of my older work by clicking HERE and if you want to see more happy pictures of my 2 kittens you can go HERE
