Five-tailed kitsune and captain of the Aardwolf, a motley crew of thrill-seeking pirates. An import from the pre-DYOS project, he has cameoed since the beginning of my sketch comics in DYOS X, frequenting the Christmas specials. Cordially irreverent, he possesses a latent manic streak, engaging a Space Pirate base seemingly on a whim. Reynaud's crew was intended to act as a freelance faction during DYOS XI, but the collapse of my schedule prevented its development beyond the establishing pages; he is earmarked for a significant role in At Plot's End.

Whereas Peter is something of my mascot in DYOS, Reynaud is iconic amongst my real-life friends.

• Reynaud's name is based on the French politician Paul Reynaud, mainly to avoid a direct reference to renard; there is no other connection to the historical person.
• The Aardwolf has not been named within DYOS proper or the wiki; it was first identified to @Danimarion in private correspondence, and later, e350tb as part of a mini-meme replying to one of his works. The ship itself is a brig, modelled on Playmobil set 3750.
• His outfit is based on the uniform of a British vice-admiral circa the Battle of Trafalgar.

Captain Locke
Unclear; depictions of the two together imply Locke harbours enmity toward him.
