Leader of "Dookie's Dragoons", a mercenary outfit in Tyo's Star Wars: Reclamation roleplay game. The identical fourth cousin of the canonical Count Dooku, he is noble, dutiful, and somewhat eccentric, operating as a Quixotic knight-errant caught between his personal convictions and the looming shadow of the Galactic Empire seeking to exploit him as its agent—witting or otherwise. The self-trained equivalent of a "Grey Jedi", he exhibited Force sensitivity too late in his life to be whisked off to the Academy but honed his powers in secret, constructing a knock-off lightsaber for which he developed an unorthodox fighting style that employs it as an oversized switchblade—this in diametric contrast to his accreditation as a traditional fencer.

He was apprenticed to his father as a diplomatic attaché, becoming House liaison on Celanon where he developed an entrepreneurial streak and was awarded the entirely fictitious title of Baronet (327th) in tribute to his patronage, as well as earning the undying loyalty of a nalroni police officer who had served as his minder outside the capital and became his personal bodyguard. Following the Count's death, he attempted to use his likeness to become leader of the CIS, only to realize the operation was a sham, resigning just late enough to have been black-marked by Republicans: in the next three months he dodged sixteen separate assassination attempts. Seeking to drop out of the limelight, Dookie liquidated his assets and became a traveling hand-for-hire alongside his bodyguard Kriel Kalar; when a client lost his estate in a freak accident, he joined them as the pilot in the nascent Dragoons. Falling afoul of the Imperial Security Bureau when Dooku used his saber as a makeshift repair tool, they were conscripted as proxy agents and sent on ever-more-dangerous missions under supervision by Imperial commando Kaldonna Thurinos, who stayed on with them after they'd "proven" their loyalty.

Following the murder of his nephew Count Adan and supposed death of grand-nephew Bron, Dooku withdrew to Malastare for extended meditation. The group wound up stranded after a string of podracing bets imploded catastrophically due to match sabotage. At Thurinos' recommendation, they took on a mission to raid a Republic base on Ord Canfre that was secretly an Imperial ploy to finally bloody the Dragoons' hands in a clean sweep of a secret slaving operation. Against all odds they freed the slaves with minimal casualty, collecting the bounty to land back on their feet, with one of the rescuees joining on as a trade advisor and veteran navigator.

Trivia:
  • The nickname "Dookie" was inspired by a recurring motif in Darthipedia. In-universe, it evolved out of the frequent confusion when he introduced himself without honourifics: "Dooku." / "Duke who?" / "Dooku—me!", with "Dookie" becoming a shorthand to distinguish him from the late Darth Tyrannus.
  • Dookie was inspired by several pieces on DeviantArt featuring Dooku/Christopher Lee in historical costumes. The name Frédéric is a nod to Darths and Droids, in which Dooku is portrayed as "Space French".
  • Dooku's backstory details two instances a potential claim to leadership of Serenno is thwarted by (seemingly) trivial incidents, leading him to swear off checked baggage and stand-by flights. Notably, he misses out on submitting himself for Bron's regency due to the Imperial ambassador's motorcade holding up traffic: in the Agent of the Empire comic series, Jahan Cross is tricked into assassinating Bron's father Count Adan in a power play by House Borgin to seize the countship, instigating the regency and the crisis that follows.
  • He wants to get a ysalamir as a mascot, apparently unaware it would disrupt his own Force powers.
  • The Dragoons' signup post includes the theme "Garden Party", selected in part to its similarity with the Cantina Band from A New Hope. For the (as-yet unrealized) cast portrait/title card, I've waffled between the triple mixes of "Bonetrousle" and "Dummy!" (with a slight preference to the latter).
Relationships/Ties:

Kriel Kalar
Nalroni ex-policeman and loyal bodyguard. Growing up in rural Celanon, he harbours antipathy against the ruling guilds, yet quickly took to Dookie for his honest personality. Assigned as his minder for trips outside the capital, Kalar brought the plight of the clans to Dooku's attention and leveraged his own connections to bypass the guild bureaucracy. Quitting the police to serve Dooku full-time, he personally thwarted eight attempts on his life; Kalar coined "Dookie's Dragoons" off-the-cuff when prompted for their business name by Jax Pavan.

Jax Pavan
A former Coruscanti flight mechanic that hired the Dragoons as bodyguards over fears he was being hunted by an Imperial assassin. At the tail-end of their contract, a cascade of unrelated accidents destroyed both his business and home, leaving him with only the clothes on his back and a refurbished spaceship, which he pledged to their service in exchange for being allowed to tag along as the fledgling company's third member.

Kaldonna Thurinos
Imperial commando assigned as the group's minder during their subordination under the ISB, who opted to remain with the Dragoons even after their probation ended and now serves as second-in-command. Nominally independent, she is actually a COMPNOR agent tasked with keeping their activities on the Imperial side, including trying to push them into indiscriminate violence that would permanently antagonize them to its rivals. This came to a head during Ord Canfre, and while she was ultimately retained as their "fixer" with Imperial authorities, Dookie has mastered the sophistry to justify how working with the other factions is secretly advancing the Empire's cause (and then proceeding to twist an ankle that takes him out of the fight, forcing her to bear the brunt of actual combat). While the ISB bought his story that his lightsaber is salvage, Thurinos suspects he is Force-trained, yet for unknown reasons hasn't snitched him out.

Anson Fel
Sullustan merchant, starship navigator, and possible smuggler who originally supported the Rebel Alliance; arrested by the Imperials and sent to Ord Canfre, he was rescued in the Dragoons' raid and pledged his services, partly for protection against the Empire.

Family and Friends:

Count Dooku, Darth Tyrannus
Fourth cousin with whom he shares a virtually identical likeness. Following his death, Dookie is shooed-in as nominal leader of the CIS thinking he can champion the movement, only to learn the Separatist Council is a dysfunctional collection of opportunists, and resigns within the year.

Adan Dooku
Nephew who succeeds as Count of Serenno. Dookie seeks to press a (far-fetched) rival claim, but is held up at the baggage carousel and arrives after the fact.

Bron Dooku
Great-nephew and Adan's son; de jure Count of Serenno following his father's assassination. Dookie seeks to forward himself as regent, but is held up in traffic and arrives after the talks begin. Bron's alleged death and the subsequent ascension of Pero Borgin as Count sends him into a grief period and the hermitage on Malastare.

Unnamed Niece
Given charge of the Celanon embassy when he quits to become an adventurer.
