Biography

Hi there! My name is Andrea Paulik! I'm also known through the web by several of my other handles which include: Amp, SlrMobius (Sailor Mobius sometimes...that's an old one, tho ^^()) and Sakura Omega. I absolutely adore animation (particularly anime), comic books and video games.

My favorite animations include Samurai Jack, Family Guy, old episodes of The Simpsons, Eight Man After, Vampire Hunter D, Rurouni Kenshin, Serial Experiments: Lain, Neon Genesis Evangelion, FLCL (Furi Kiri), Galaxy Express 999, Certain parts of Dragon Ball Z (it gets tedious after a while...I love Trunks and Piccolo, tho. I think the part of the series where Piccolo trains Gohan is the best, personally, just because it shows Piccolo's softer side ^^), Sabre Marionette J, Cowboy Bebop and probably a whole slew of others that I can't think of off the top of my head at the moment.

My favorite video games are usually RPGs, though I'm also fond of the Mega Man X and Sonic the Hedgehog series. My favorite video games are Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, IV and VII, Tetris (huzzah for old skool gaming!), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Mega Man X4, Streets of Rage, Vendetta, Dance Dance Revolution, Double Dragon and many others! In case you can't tell, I love the older stuff =P

As far as comic books go, I mainly stick to manga, though I may be tempted by the old Sonic comics Archie came out with or some DC or Marvel now and then. Tank Girl and Johnny: The Homicidal Maniac also might tickle my interest from time to time. As far as manga go, I enjoy a wide variety. I'm a budding Japanese student, so I like to experiment with different stuff. I'm also a big fan of online comics. My favorites are probably Penny Arcade and 8-Bit Theater, but I also read Sinfest, Bob and George and Alice.

I also enjoy a virtual spectrum of music. My favorites (and this is narrowing it down a LOT) are REM, Nirvana, ABBA, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Weezer, Joan Jett, Sublime, U2, The Wallflowers, Save Ferris, Ben Folds Five, No Doubt, Our Lady Peace, Jamiroquai, and The Offspring.

Among my other interests are writing fan fics (usually MMX ones, but I'm dabbling in others), writing and/or analyzing poetry, roleplaying (I enjoy both tabletop and online and am currently running a Changeling: the Dreaming campaign), reading (particularly Anne Rice, CS Lewis, the Hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy series and a plethora of other texts), studying mythology and it's affect on culture from whence it came, swimming, drawing (of course!) and painting, making 3D sculptures from various medias, and messing around online.
